A new study suggests that walking, whether indoors or out, can have more benefits than sitting and letting your creativity flow.

In all cases, there was a consistent increase in creativity higher for those who walked than those who sat.

The study also looked at different combinations, including two consecutive sitting sessions or a walking session followed by a seated session. The sessions of sitting or walking used that to test creativity lasted between five and 16 minutes, based on the tasks assessed.

Three of the tests used three of the experiments used a “divergent thinking” creativity test.
